Campus Visit Opportunities for
Academic Colleges and Programs

Michigan State University encourages interested students and families to consider visiting with a specific academic college or program while on campus. The visit programs below are in addition to the campus visit programs offered by the Office of Admissions.

If you are interested in participating in one of the academic visit programs below, you should first RSVP for a daily visit program offered by MSU's Office of Admissions, then contact the specific academic unit per the information below. (Please note, programs below are only applicable for spring semester 2012.)

MSU Honors College

Students and families that have reviewed the online admissionsinformation and have further questions about one of the United States’ most distinctive and extensive collegiate honors programs can call (517) 355-2326 or email Liz Rabidoux, one week prior to their desired date for a campus visit. Times are generally scheduled before or after the campus presentation.

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

Students interested in the vast range of programs within MSU’s College of Agriculture and Natural Resources can arrange visits by contacting CANR recruitment coordinator Nathan Westfall by email or by calling (517) 355-0234 in advance of their campus visit. Times are generally scheduled before or after the campus presentation.

College of Education

The College of Education would like to welcome prospective students and their families to join them in Erickson Hall for one of our small-group information sessions. During your visit, an academic advisor will explain the program requirements, admissions process and answer any questions you might have about Teacher Education or Kinesiology and Athletic Training. There are selected dates that coincide with the MSU admissions program and campus tours.

College of Engineering

Prospective engineering students can register for an engineering presentation and tour on most Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 3:00-4:30 p.m., beginning Monday, January 16. More information is available from the College of Engineering.

College of Music

Students interested in the MSU College of Music can sign-up for visits by contacting the College of Music. These visits generally occur during standard business hours, Monday through Friday (until the first week of May). Please review the College of Music visit page to help plan your trip.

The Eli Broad College of Business

The Eli Broad College of Business provides a presentation for interested students followed by a walking tour of the Broad College. Topics include the junior year admission process, academic programs, student life, services of the college, and study abroad. There is also time for questions. Tours are on select Fridays at 3:30 p.m. at the Eli Broad College of Business. Visit Eli Broad College of Business for more information.

James Madison College

Students interested in learning more about James Madison College may sign-up for visits by contacting the JMC Admissions Office at (517) 353-5260. Visits generally occur during standard business hours, Monday through Friday.

Lyman Briggs College

For students interested in MSU's science-focused residential program, Lyman Briggs College hosts presentations and facility tours on select Mondays and Fridays. Please be aware that space is limited and seats fill quickly. Students and families should visit Lyman Briggs College to view dates and related information.

Residential College in the Arts and Humanities

Students interested in learning more about MSU's liberal arts residential college can sign-up for visits by contacting the RCAH Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator, Lizzy Thornton or (517) 355-0210. Personal visits generally occur during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, year round. Visit RCAH for more information.

The School of Hospitality Business

Students interested in learning more about academic and career options in the hospitality industry can sign-up for visits by contacting the Student and Industry Resource Center Office (517-353-9747) at least one week prior to your desired visit date. These visits generally occur during standard business hours between Monday and Friday (until the first week of May).
